Stara Sokolova won first price at recent Slivovitz Festival in Minesota, USA. The U.S. Slivovitz Festival was created by the Brothers Radosevich, and has grown with into the premier Slivovitz Tasting event in the world. The Festival is held in Two Harbors, Minnesota, on the first Saturday after Labor Day, which is the first Monday in September. Made from traditional sorts of plum, distilled and nourished in the cellars of the Sokolova Region, Stara Sokolova is true ambasador of its home land. It carries feeling of old country cellars and oak casks. The array of Sokolova products consists of slivovitzs made from several high quality plum sorts aged 5 to 12 years as well as juniper slivovitz (Klekovaca).
